This historic race in memory of Tazio Nuvolari, the ‘Mantua Flyer’, will be held from September 16 to 18, and Audi will again have several historic vehicles on the starting line.
Mantua, Nuvolari’s birthplace, is now where the Gran Premio Nuvolari starts and finishes. More than 200 historic vehicles in all will visit the town and take part in the event held in memory of the ‘Mantua Flyer, as racing legend Nuvolari was affectionately nicknamed. Audi Tradition has always had close links with this event, and will once again be entering several vehicles.
An attractive route
From the town of Mantua the first stage takes the cars to the Italian Riviera, then to Pisa. The second stage is through Tuscany and along the Adriatic Coast to Rimini. From there, the historic car cavalcade returns through the Reggio Emilia to the town where Tazio Nuvolari was born. In 1938 and 1939 the ‘Mantua Flyer’ gained several notable victories in Auto Union racing cars bearing the four-ring badge.
